I’m a California-based wildlife photographer and visual storyteller whose passion for the natural world began at an early age. Growing up in California’s Gold Country, just a short drive from Yosemite National Park, I was surrounded by landscapes that naturally sparked my curiosity and encouraged me to explore. My father, a biologist with the U.S. Forest Service, played an important role in that journey. He taught me how to explore nature safely, respect the environments I was entering, and understand how to responsibly interact with and handle wildlife. Those early experiences shaped the way I see the natural world and continue to influence how I approach wildlife photography today.

My passion for visual storytelling began during my freshman year of high school when I enrolled in a film class that would profoundly influence my creative path. My teacher had a remarkable ability to demonstrate the emotional power of visual storytelling and the role it plays in how we understand the world around us. Through that class, I discovered not only a passion for photography and film, but also an appreciation for the responsibility that comes with creating and sharing images. I learned that a photograph can do more than document a moment, it can change perspectives, create empathy, and connect people to stories and experiences beyond their own.

Today, my photography is driven by a desire to capture the beauty, complexity, and fleeting moments of the natural world. I strive to create images that allow viewers to experience wildlife from a unique perspective while fostering a deeper connection to the places and species I photograph. Perspective is everything, and I believe there is great power in sharing the way we see the world.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to create work for organizations including the Los Angeles Zoo, Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, Healthy Seas, Ghost Diving USA, and GUE. These experiences have allowed me to combine my passion for photography with my interest in wildlife, marine ecosystems, exploration, and conservation.

Beyond creating compelling imagery, I’m passionate about wildlife conservation, climate awareness, and making nature accessible to everyone. My work is rooted in the belief that through understanding, education, and patience, people and wildlife can not only coexist but thrive together. Every photograph is an opportunity to foster connection, encourage stewardship, and share the wonder of the wild.
